FORGET AND FORGIVE

Nothing is worth turning into a suitcase you carry around. We’re freer when we’re light. If someone has hurt you, forgetting is a blessing and a kindness, to yourself. And beyond that, there’s another kind of forgiveness too: letting go of your own mistakes so you don't judge yourself and forgive yourself for your many previous mistakes.
I don’t accept that what people call 'so pure' has to be twisted into 'so fool-ish'. Seeing people as they are, and seeing yourself as you are, these are lessons you have to learn. There’s no avoiding them, I think, because you keep living the same loop until you learn them.
But when learning the lessons is enough, why do we carry the stories, incidents on our back as a permanent burden? It is just hard labor, good for nothing but punishing oneself. Staying 'so pure' and go along through life on the other hand... how beautiful is that?
